Nice little place with average food. The staff seems a little inexperienced overall except a couple people. I will go back if craving Mexican food in the area.
So glad they don't serve beer, a true family's restaurant
Good food, fair price
The food was really good but the service they didn't have any service that was the down fall
Had a good waitress but had to wait an hour and a half for our food
The food was not like any Mexican food I've had. The tamale was unseasoned chicken with cornmeal stuck to it with a sauce on top. The burrito was loose salty hamburger wrapped in a flour tortilla and the chili relleno had an odd flavor that I had not experienced before. In addition to that there were 2 young children running around in the back of the dining area squealing and playing tag there and also in the kitchen. I'm assuming they belonged to the owners or help. One more little item; while waiting for the food I looked up at the lantern above our table and it was loaded with hanging dust. I wish they really did have a good Mexican restaurant here, but this isn't it!
Great food good service. Still surprised by a Mexican restaurant that isn't allowed to serve beer. It was so good though I will be back.
Good food. Great service!
Not the best Mexican food! Prices are way to high. Place looks very clean and decent.
Good food.
Good food good service decently priced.
We ate there yesterday for lunch, overall the place looks dingy and not terribly inviting. The food was good, service was good, authentic Mexican music, not sure i would go there again.
Wow I didn't know Mexican could be this awful. Chewy chips, rubber shrimp and the carne asada was so overcooked I at first thought I got a chilly rellenjo stem. We could not even eat the food.
Great service and absolutely fantastic food. Everything tasted so fresh!
This place is horrible!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! The soap in the bathroom doesn’t not work!! They also did not want to fix the soap dispenser and wanted us to use hand sanitizer. Food was a very long wait!! Cook also went into the bathroom with his hat on!! If I could give this place no stars I would.
The chips and salsa are great! I would recommend the beef tacos, my friend had the steak and shrimp fajita, the steak was over done.
Food was flavorful, service was slow (late show waitress)
GOOD AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANTÉ 👍☺. BECAUSE OF THE DRY TOWN NO ALCOHOL THOUGH😔😔
The food was really good and the service was excellent! Will try to come here again. Hope we get an El Zorrito in the Elkhart area too!
Food was fantastic but service was slow. To be fair we were a party of 18 and there were 2 other large groups as well.
You will have a hard time finding a better authentic Mexican restaurant then this one! They are absolutely fantastic! bring your whole family for a generous meal and don't forget to try the fried ice cream or peppermint cocoa for desert.
Good was good but service was a little lax.
Delicious food, great service! Recommend the Pollo Zorrito which is chicken covered with shrimp and onions / white sauce. Excellent time tonight!
After they were out of the tamales I ordered then they brought the wrong food on my reorder the food was good.
I hope tonight was a fluke. They won't stay open long if they keep it up. We've had good experiences here in the past, but tonight was pretty bad. We waited 1.5 hrs to get our food. We didn't get everything we ordered and it didn't all come at the same time. It was like all the regulars had the night off. There were three tables near us that didn't get bussed during the two hours we were there. Food wasn't great either. Probably won't be back. Sad...
Typical Mexican restaurant. Good food, fast service, a little bit more pricier than other Mexican Restaurants. Its somewhat harder to notice from traffic if you dont live in the area.
Great local restaurant! Love the chimmy acapulco!
Great food and great service. Had the Aculpuco Chimichanga.
Amazing service *Romelo thank u. Amazing food
I love this this restaurant! My favorite is the one in Topeka, this was the first time we tried the one in Shipshewana and we weren't disappointed. We did kind of feel like the food was a little different even though we ordered the same meals that we order in Topeka. The chimi Acapulco is so good and you get so much food you can barely eat it all. The waitresses are nice. Everything you could want in a Mexican restaurant!
This place is a joke. Serving raw meat in a kids meal. And then only giving 2 dollars back. And then the owner doesnt even have enough balls to come out and talk about the food he is serving. I hope the health department shuts this place down. I would give no stars if possible.
My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed the evening of fresh authentic Mexican cuisine. The menu had a large selection, and each entree ordered was spectacular. My son-in-law declared - "I wish I would have known about this place long before now. I will never go to Hacienda again!"
Great service, food and pricing!
Good Mexican food. Portions are large so pack an appetite. Looks like no parking but lots on the side and back.
Food was plentiful and tasted good. Decor was not outstanding. My waiter was attentive but not real friendly. It was dark when I left and there was no lighting in the parking area, which was dirt and out behind the place.
I was almost wrong, because I almost left... Absolutely the best chicken I ever ate! I can't say the name but it came with onion and cheese on a hot cast iron griddle and wow! I wished I could have eaten a second! They should upgrade the sign outside because it almost looks deserted...
Soggy greasy taco salad😫
Great food. Had the lunch Speedy Gonzalez. Fast friendly service.
Good food. Love chips and salsa
Great mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The staff were very nice. Had a large order with no issues. Had the chicken fajita burrito, really good! Great prices too! Glad we stopped!
Started off good. Good chips and salsa. Then..... we ordered. 1 hour later we were told there was “drama in the kitchen and the cooks left”. Ummmm, ok. So we were told the owner was cooking for us. 30 minutes later she brought 1 plate at a time to us to eat. There were 9 of us. The last 3 delivered were literally tacos and the rest of us were done eating by the time they came. The food was horrible. We were not offered anything discounted or a free dessert or anything. Other people had come in after us and had food way before us. All that was offered was a comment “at least you can say you had the owner cook for you”???!!!! It was crazy. Do NOT recommend. I never leave reviews, but, this warranted one for sure.
Yummy food and service was top notch!!
Their tamales & queso sauce are always delicious! Warm chips & fresh salsa are served, while waiting for your food. In the summertime, they serve a refreshing blueberry lemonade with fresh mint, in a sugar rimmed glass. No margaritas, but excellent Mexican food!
The food had so much flavor and the prices were very reasonable. Portions were good as well. Good for couples, families, and singles also.
Great food, okay price, great service. Would definitely return.
Not fancy, but, clean with plenty of seating. A good menu including a couple selections for the Amish and Mennonite families of the area.
Very good for as busy as they were we got served in a short wait, waitress was very polite to us even tho she was running around serving others. My hubby and I had a good Anniversary meal .And the lady that was seating guest came back and made sure everything was going ok for us.
Authentic Mexican food! Enchiladas were delicious. Horchata was yummy. Friendly service and good food. Will be back again.
Excellent service by the server named Rochelle was very helpful in giving suggestions on what was good to eat !!
